The $71 million UD STAR Residential development will bring 229 market-rate apartments to the heart of the University of Delaware’s 272-acre STAR Campus. Spread across two seven-story buildings connected by a glass skybridge, the project offers studio, one-, and two-bedroom units ranging from 600 to 1,100 square feet. Parking accommodations include 231 spaces and ample bike storage to support eco-conscious commuting.
Apartment features will include modern finishes such as quartz countertops, subway tile backsplashes, stainless steel appliances, large windows for natural light, and in-unit washers and dryers, with select units offering private balconies. Outdoor amenities include a resort-style pool, grilling and dining areas, pickleball court, fenced dog run, and a landscaped courtyard. Inside, residents will enjoy a half-court basketball area, fitness center with boxing and cardio equipment, yoga pod, lounge with communal kitchen, and a game room.
As the first multi-family residential community on the STAR Campus, UD STAR marks a major milestone in the area’s transformation into a functioning mixed-use environment and the continuation of the ongoing relationship between UD and BPG. BPG previously developed the University Bookstore and Bloom Energy, the first building on the now STAR Campus.
ResideBPG will handle leasing and property management.
