Renovation of The Green Room in Wilmington’s Hotel Du Pont re-concepted as Le Cavalier at The Green Room, a French brasserie restaurant. The dining room’s new decor includes velvet and leather banquettes, contemporary French artwork and an expansive, marble bar that anchors the dining room. The restored mosaic tile floor was discovered during construction, and dates back to the original Green Room circa 1913. The fumed oak paneling and ornate plaster ceiling The Green Room remains intact.
