The Buccini/Polin Group (BPG) is proud to support our dear friends at Reed’s Refuge! The center was in desperate need for new children’s books and held a read-a-thon hosted by Ann Miller on Friday, October 13th.

In celebration of National Book Month, BPG collected brand new children’s books for ages 3-14 for Reed’s Refuge. Reed’s serves as a non-profit organization committed to the well-being of children and financially afflicted families of inner-city Wilmington. Additionally, they provide nearly 1,000 youth each year with a safe haven from violence, drugs, guns, and idle minds by helping them discover creative potential in the arts and through education.

Associates were encouraged to make it a double donation by purchasing  book from smile.amazon.com and having the purchases go towards one of their favorite organizations, or supporting a local Wilmington bookshop, The Ninth Street Book Shop.

A big thank you goes to Ann Miller for organizing the read-a-thon and her son, Jim Miller of  Out & About Magazine for delivering the books to Reed’s. Altogether, over 1,000 books were collected.
