Comcast has signed a 10-year lease and will move the majority of its Delaware workforce to a call center in 150,000 square feet of office space in Ogletown, the company announced Tuesday.

Located in a corporate center at 400 Commerce Drive near Interstate 95, the call center will be home for more than 700 Comcast employees who support residential customers across the northeast. Another 100 will help monitor and manage Comcast’s network for business and residential customers, the company said.

A company spokesperson said there are no substantial hiring plans in the works and the employees at the new facility will come from two other facilities, one on North DuPont Highway near New Castle and another on North Wakefield Drive in Christiana.

Employees at those two sites will begin moving into the new facility in 2019, Comcast said.

The facility, owned by Buccini/Pollin and the former home of Computer Sciences Corp., will be renovated over the next few months. Once completed, Comcast said the office will be equipped with height-adjustable workstations, collaboration and meeting spaces, a workout facility, cafeteria, green spaces and more.
