At the heart of our mission, The Buccini/Pollin Group strives to transform the communities we serve, not only through our development services but also through our outreach efforts.
In our continued support of First State Montessori Academy (FSMA), BPG sponsored the school’s brand new engineering labs, providing students with opportunities for advanced learning.
Six years ago, BPG’s Chief Investment Officer Karl Wagner served on a volunteer board that assisted start-up charter schools in Delaware with financial mentoring. Karl was impressed with the solid plan presented by First State Montessori Academy. After finding that the school needed a new landlord in order to open in time for the first semester, Karl encouraged BPG to purchase the building at 10th and French Streets in Wilmington and provide a home for the child-centered approach to learning.
Fast forward to 2019, FSMA has grown into an additional building, added a middle school, and enhanced the course offerings through new educational spaces. The school has been such a success that this month it was able to purchase the building from BPG for sole ownership. BPG is honored to have been able to help foster this unique approach to learning in Delaware and wishes FSMA continued success.
To show our ongoing commitment to FSMA, BPG sponsored the school’s new Engineering Labs and presented the donation during our Week of Service last week!
