This November, you can try two signature dishes from the Hotel du Pont’s Le Cavalier at home, thanks to a collaboration between Le Cav’s Chef Partner Tyler Akin and Philadelphia-based meal delivery service Home Appétit Chef Founder Lee Wallach.

The dishes — chicken Provençal with roasted shallots and whole roasted cauliflower with shawarma spice — will be featured on the Home Appétit menu the week of Monday, Nov. 8. A portion of the proceeds from Akin’s dishes sold that week will be donated to The Warehouse, which offers workforce development for under-resourced teens in Wilmington. Akin is the coordinator of the hospitality externship track of its Teens in Motion: Hospitality program, developed with his Buccini Pollin Group partners at the Hotel du Pont.

“Our team and BPG Cares love working with The Warehouse on our joint culinary development program,” Akin said in a statement. “The program places The Warehouse students as externs at restaurants across Wilmington for hands-on experience. Together we’re developing the next generation of restaurant talent in the city.”
