Job Title: Development Project Coordinator, Pittsburgh PA 

Job Purpose 

Development Project Coordinator will report to the VP of Development in BPG’s Pittsburgh office, and support BPG’s Lower Hill Redevelopment Team covering a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to managing schedules; facilitating outreach with community residents, businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations; monitoring accurate records and reports of development endeavors; assisting with reporting for construction and development efforts.


Duties and Responsibilities

Administration / Compliance / Reporting 

  • Coordinate schedules, compliance documentation and preparation for public presentations
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for stakeholders in accordance with project agreements
  • Ensure all documentation for reports and applications are compiled in a timely manner from project partners and are consistent with formatting and content
  • Track, monitor and update compliance consistent with the Community Collaboration and Implementation Plan (CCIP) and the project’s implementation “Roadmap”

Contractor & Consultant Intake  

  • Oversee and manage the project intake process including conducting regular meetings with project partners and providing regular updates to the project team.
  • Ensure all questions from the website, newsletter, and project email are answered in a timely manner by company / project representatives and all information is appropriate and accurate

Community Outreach/Communication 

  • Assist the Director of Community, Arts and Culture with metric tracking and reporting of community engagement efforts
  • Work with senior level staff to coordinate internal and external partnerships for the start of new development projects
  • Facilitate meetings for duration of the project
  • Assist in managing multiple project priorities and plans, ensuring that they stay on track and on time
  • Provide administrative support with philanthropic and government subsidy applications


  • Must have strong communications skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be detail oriented and be accurate in composing and proofing materials.
  • Prior experience in executive support.
  • Project a professional demeanor at all times through appearance and behavior.
  • Promote positive customer relations.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and demands.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must have strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be available to work from home or various locations around Pittsburgh when needed


  • Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • High School degree required



  • 3-5 years of experience in an admin/office setting strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Physical Requirements

  • Requires prolonged sitting.
  • Requires frequent operation of office equipment, such as a computer, copy machine, telephone, etc.
  • Occasional stretching and / or bending to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • Occasional standing and walking required.
